Welcome to nextU ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS, Android, and web application for AI-powered daily planning and health coaching.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We collect the following personal information:

  • Email address and name (from your Google or Apple Sign-In)
  • Health and fitness profile (goal type, training preference, diet type)
  • Daily planner entries (tasks, meals, expenses, habits, ratings)
  • Workout sessions and personal records you log
  • Subscription and payment status

2.2 Usage Data

We automatically collect:

  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • IP address and approximate location
  • App usage events for reliability and feature improvement

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Generate personalised AI coaching, meal plans, and workout recommendations
  • Track your habits, streaks, and life-balance scores
  • Send habit reminders and notifications (only if you allow)
  • Process and verify subscription payments
  • Provide customer support and respond to enquiries
  • Improve app features, performance, and reliability
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (Mumbai region, India). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Session tokens are stored securely using your device's keychain or secure enclave. We retain your account data for the lifetime of your account and delete it within 30 days of an account deletion request.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate nextU, each governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Apple (iOS in-app purchases & authentication) – Processes iOS subscription payments and Apple Sign-In. We do not receive or store your card details. Apple Privacy Policy
  • Google (authentication) – Provides Google Sign-In. We access only your name and email; we do not read your Gmail, contacts, or other Google data. Google Privacy Policy
  • RevenueCat (subscription management) – Manages and validates in-app subscription status on iOS. RevenueCat receives your Apple App User ID and purchase receipts. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
  • Razorpay (payment processing, Android & web) – Processes payments on Android and web. We never store your card details. Razorpay Privacy Policy
  • OpenAI / Anthropic (AI generation) – Generates coaching responses, meal plans, and workout recommendations. Prompts are anonymised before sending; your name and email are never included.
  • Railway (cloud hosting) – Hosts our backend servers and database in India.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and update your personal information in the app
  • Request a copy of your data (data portability)
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Opt out of non-essential data collection
  • Withdraw consent for notifications at any time in device Settings

To request data deletion, email us at contact@nextu.org.in or use the data deletion option in the app. We will process all deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Our web app uses cookies for authentication sessions and preferences. Our iOS app does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) and does not track you across other apps or websites. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
